Registration and Payment:

You can register and pay for your class in one of several ways:

1. Online: Click HERE to register and pay now via credit card.

2. In person: Visit the Boarding House at the Historic Johnson Farm (see address below) during open hours (M-F, 10-3) to complete a class registration form and make your payment via cash, check or credit card.

3. By mail: Click HERE for the Registration Form, then download and print the form. Complete the form and mail (see address below) with a check made out to Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists.

Weaving Boot Camp III - Blocks and Profile Drafts
Class Description: 

Boot Camp I explored Straight Draw threading with a sampler.  Boot Camp II was all about Twill threadings with a Twill Gamp.  Boot Camp III is  about Block Weave structures and Profile Drafts.

This class will be a Round Robin class - everyone will thread a Profile Draft and each participant will weave a sample of each weave structure. The Block weaves included in this class will be Summer & Winter, Monks Belt (a form of Overshot),
Bronson Lace, Log Cabin, Crackle and Huck. You will go home with a notebook with “how to” instructions and samples of each of the above listed Block Weaves.

Apr 8th for planning, winding warps and beginning to dressing a loom.  Looms must be ready to weave on by the start of class on Wednesday, Apr 15th.


Fee: Payable by cash, check or credit card
$240.00 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at time of registration)
$250.00 for non-HWFA members

Materials provided by instructor: Yarn and notebook with all handouts 
Materials fee: $20.00 (payable in correct change to instructor first day of class)
Materials brought by student: Lunch and a drink. Bring your weaving tool kit with 2 pairs of scissors, one small pair for snipping threads and one large pair for cutting warp off loom.  Pencil, calculator, threading hook (I have hooks for sale if you do not have one).

Additional information: Park at the Historic Johnson Farm Interpretive Center and walk to the Boarding House. Handicapped parking is available at the Boarding House. Please note, as a historic building, the Boarding House is not handicapped accessible.
