Advanced Cornucopia Gourd
Class Description: In this 2 day class, you will make a cornucopia gourd that will make an elegant focal centerpiece on your holiday table or a fall decoration. These “dipper gourds”, with their unique shape (featuring a swooped stem) will be cut at an angle to reveal an interior lined with moss and the rim covered/lashed with natural or dyed raffia. The use of all natural materials will transform this piece into the perfect rustic cornucopia shape. We will use round wooden beads to form “legs” so that it stands balanced on the table. Students will have a choice of medium or large gourds for this project.
